Update: 10-25-2012

This will be my last annual craft beer event. I know that I’ve been playing with “The End” and The End of the World etc. but I have decided that this really will be the end, the last of my annual craft beer events.

I had to make a last minute change in the keg lineup. Gaverhopke Bittersweet Symphony will not be available. However we will have St Bernardus Christmas Ale. And if the need arises I can add a 7th keg. That will depend on attendance. The new line up is below.

Yes, we are on for the 4th annual Belgian Bier Event and since the end of the world is 12-21-2012 I thought that we would have an early End of the World Celebration.

We will be featuring the one and only End of the World Beer
"La Fin Du Monde

Here is the rest of the Bier Lineup!

Editor’s Note: This is the draught beer known variously as Duvel Green/Draught. It is most commonly available in the US and UK, but not in Belgium. This is NOT the same beer as the bottled Duvel Groen. It is NOT the same beer as regular Duvel, which is also a strictly bottled product.

(3) Chimay Triple (White) / Cinq Cents
Brewed by: Bières de Chimay S.A.
Baileux, Belgium
Abbey Tripel | 8.00% ABV
Rate Beer: 99 Overall, 99 in Class | Beer Advocate: 95 World-Class
Chimay Tripel, with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer’s flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz ( and John White (
