On a business trip in Atlanta GA and figured I would check out some local brews. This will be my first hotel room beer review. Sorry about the cell phone pics I forgot to bring a real camera.

The beer pours a dark brown almost completely opaque with just a hint of ruby hues peeking through the bottom of the glass.

The nose is nice with sweet caramel malt aromas with toasted notes of coffee and chocolate. There is also an interesting underlining sweetness in the background.

What a nice first sip, this is an excellent porter, smooth and rich but light enough to be refreshing and easy drinking. Great flavors!

This great experience starts out with some nice dark malt sweetness up front followed by a very smooth but also refreshing mouthfeel as this porter rolls over the tongue in the middle of the sip. The back-end is fairly easy drinking for such a dark beer. The finish is nice with dark roasted malt flavors and notes of chocolate and toffee. There is also a nice earthiness on the finish. The final aftertaste is of these lingering malt flavors.

What a nice Porter; I am really enjoying this experience.

A | Sweetwater Exodus is an excellent American Porter that is as rich as it is refreshing with a perfect blend of dark roasted malts that lead into a smooth mouthfeel and ends in an exquisite finish of roasted malt flavors with notes of chocolate and toffee. What a nice little Porter!
