Odd. Wow not sure about this one. It starts off sweet but the back end is packed with flavors. I do not like the back end so much but I can’t put my finger on what it is that I don’t like.

It’s so spicy and sweet it is almost sour. The final aftertaste is some sweet malt but it’s mostly a very lingering spicy flavor that doesn’t go away. So far this is the longest lasting spice aftertaste of any of the pumpkin ales that I’ve had this year.

The more this beer warms up the more I’m warming up to this beer. Still not one of the best but it is drinkable. I guess all give it a C-; still not digging the back end so much.

PS
Technically I guess this is not an ale, that's why it’s listed on BeerAdvocate.com as a Herbed / Spiced Beer.

  1. I wasn't very big on this one either, perhaps because it is a beer (lager) and not an ale. There, I admit it! I love ales over lagers! haha
